This campground is just what the doctor ordered! Out of the way, laid back and beautiful. In fact, we stopped just for the night and ended up staying 5 nights. We had water and electric (30 amp) for our Airstream that filled the bill. The campground hosts, Mike and Pam, were terrific. They not only took care of us in the campground but also shared their RV experiences, something much appreciated for new full time RVers. When passing through the area, we will definitely stop again.
Delightful, small National Forest Service Campground. Has tent and RV sites. RV sites have electricity and water, but no sewer hookup. Main attractions are hiking, fishing and just relaxing. The host couple, Pamela and Mike, are the friendliest and most helpful I've encountered in many years of camping on public land sites.
After a night of coyotes very loudly howling nearby our tent the host sped up with her car in the early morning to not speak to us but SCREAM at us for supposedly "running through the campsite howling at 4am." She had mentioned that she had called the police and that they apparently "saw" us running around. Everyone on the site was dead asleep in their tents by 2am and each person was completely baffled and confused by this accusation. She threatened to fine us, and said she took our license plates down.
Experience campers set their tents on the tent pad not the grass. Experience campers drive the speed limit. Experience campers drive the correct direction in a campground
Not only were we accused of disrupting the campground site but on the first day within twenty minutes of my arrival she greets me with a terrible tone when I had incorrectly set up the tents. I was unaware that were I put my tent was incorrect, which is my fault, but as a camp host you should be respectful and kind to your visitors and show them how to properly care for the campsite and help them when they are doing something wrong. This host should never ever be allowed to host a campground again. She was negligent, ignorant, and absolutely disrespectful. Luckily I am an experienced camper, but I would hate for any other camper to experience her unwanted bitter wrath on life.
Very quiet and well kept camp. 0 cell service, but the stars were AMAZING!
She needs camping skills 101
The review from Miss Experience camper about howling coyotes at night in the park is not true
Her howling coyotes appear Saturday night not before and not after they left. strange but true
Everything was absolutely perfect until we had met our campground host. The sites were incredible, the campground was easy to find and had clear instructions on how to choose a site, each site was clean and provided a fire pit, and the bathrooms were relatively clean. It was a wonderful campground with wonderful neighbors until our host came up to us on our last day and accused us of running around the campsite at 4am howling.
We have been in the park for almost 5 months not one sound at a howling coyotes has been heard not even a dog barking at night
And stop howling at the moon
